My interest in music & drumming began at an early age listening to Venture, Four Seasons and Mama & Papa's records. In 1962, I joined a Drum & Bugle Corp, "The Jr Buccaneers", out of
I currently play a Drum Workshop drum set, but started out playing an old Ludwig 1930's set with a 26" Bass Drum in pea green & silver deco. My experience has been varied: I've played on Ed Hurst's Steel Pier Show, played in Clubs & Bars, in a House Band at the Holiday Inn in King of Prussia, recorded at the old Sigma Sound Studios on South Broad Street, performed in the Tri-State area, all the Frat Houses in Philly and played Wildwood in the summer. I was also fortunate to have an opportunity to jam with Jeff Beck on several occasions when he was in town.
I've played in Standards bands, Rock Groups, Country Bands, Pop Groups, a Polka Band and as a snare drummer in a Scottish Highland Bagpipe Marching Band. My musical career has changed over the years, but as the drummer for "The 4 Jays Band", I'm back to my roots playing Oldies & Classic Rock dance tunes for the pleasure of our audiences. Please come out to see us and ask me about that old 1930's Ludwig set, it was an "oldie, but a goodie"............just like the music The Four Jays Band performs!
